this is not a suggestion that Spain is a bad team. Not at all. All numbers are pre-final, because there they struggled and I am a German fan. However, the fouls-to-yellow cards were different in their case. Again, this could mean that the fouls committed by Spain were less harsh. Also, it could mean that playing against Spain increases the probability to get a yellow card (lot of passing). These are just couple of descriptives. That is it! It seems that it is a little part of the (uncontested) winning strategy.
